Stalagmite®    Pouring Triple Tray Impressions (using the Pouring Jig)

Pouring "Arch" Triple Tray Impressions:

Pour the opposing side of the Triple Tray impression. Over-fill the impression slightly.

Pour enough stone into the Opposing_Base to support the full opposing side. There is no need to fill all of the Opposing_Base unless warranted by the size of the impression.

Set the opposing side of the impression onto the poured Opposing_Base. Adjust the impression so that the Pin-Locator pins and the teeth are in the proper relationship.

Note: Pointers with the black tips should be centered over the First Molar and Cuspid.

The tip of the pins should be as level to the impression as possible and 2 to 3mm from the margins of the teeth. This will result in a die thickness of between 8 and 9mm respectively.

Try to get the relationship between the impression and the Pin-Locator as close as possible before the stone sets. Making adjustments to the Pouring Jig after the Opposing stone has set will lower the esthetic value when articulated because the upper and lower bases may not be aligned precisely.
