This and subsequent pictures, shows how the grooves in the top of Whaledent's Pindex® machine are utilized to hold the copper wire in position. A second piece of wire (standard electrical wire) is bowed slightly. Its only function is to put downward pressure on the copper wire in order to hold it in place. It should be noted that it takes very little pressure to hold the copper wire in place since the grooves in the machine have it stabilized laterally.
